Allegory of peace

This is a realistic sculpture composed of hands releasing a dove. It is one of the few hand sculptures by Ángeles Anglada that includes an animal figure in its composition. In this case, it is a dove, a symbol of peace. This symbol comes from the Bible, where it first appears in the story of Noah's Ark, as a warning that the great flood had ended. It was after the wars of the 20th century that it truly became a symbol of peace worldwide.

The hand sculpture "Allegory of Peace" is made of quartz and resin. The sculptor experiments with finishing techniques, giving the dove figure a much lighter color than the hands, in addition to the extraordinary, bewitching shine previously absent in Anglada's works.

The sculpture is placed on a travertine marble pedestal, allowing us to add a small dedication on a metal plaque. This service we offer free of charge, just for choosing us.
