This is a clock sculpture held by two hands in a diagonal position. A bold and surprising sculpture due to its position. It creates the sensation of being suspended in the air, referencing the inexorable passage of time. A way of reminding us that, while it's true that time passes and cannot be controlled, how we manage it and how we use it does depend on us. Ultimately, and regardless of each individual's circumstances, time is in our hands, and we ourselves are responsible for its use. Ángeles Anglada , the creator of this work, surprises us once again with this daring sculpture in which hands hold a clock to remind us of the inexorable nature of time.
The hand sculpture "Catching Time" is made of quartz and resin. The sculptor used different types of finishes: patinated bronze for the hands, while she chose aged gold bronze for the clock.
This contemporary sculpture of hands was entirely made in Spain. The piece measures 25 x 11 x 26 cm.
Time is the moving image of motionless eternity.
