Hand sculpture Thousand cultures
"A Thousand Cultures" is a sculpture of hands holding an open book. The piece refers to the global knowledge we share. We come from different cultures, but together we form a single humanity. A humanity built on tiny grains of sand, gradually contributed by each of the world's cultures. No matter where you come from, you will always be part of the human family and can write a few words in this book that captures universal knowledge.
This decorative hand sculpture was made in Spain by the renowned Zaragoza-based sculptor Ángeles Anglada. It was created using a quartz and resin composite, with a bronze finish. The hand sculpture, "A Thousand Cultures," rests on a rustic pedestal. The piece measures 29 x 24 x 23 cm.
A thousand different languages speak about different
thoughts, feelings and illusions.
Thousands of diverse and unique cultures but, in the end,
one human race sharing the world.
